"Yes." As much as they'd fought these last years, Michael had no doubt that if he needed them, they would both be there. Isobel had been, all this time, thinking he'd killed those girls. Max had gotten him out of most of the major trouble he might've gotten into.
"It's not them. It's me, not feeling like I belong. But I know they have my back, like I have theirs. It's not their fault, what happened to me, and Max has done his best to try and make up for it through the years."
