Well, that could have gone better. Alex winced when Michael turned around and walked outside. This was the problem. He had no idea what would set Michael off. And maybe he should have figured that telling Michael he knew his secret would do it. But - and this was really perverse - it sort of felt like he was watching his father with that hammer all over again. He'd never felt so utterly helpless as he felt then except that he felt that same way now.
He leaned against the door frame, fists clenching and unclenching.
"Look, my dad's gone. I threatened to reveal what's going on to the Pentagon and they sort of frown on extra-curricular projects."
