Michael leaned in to Alex, accepting the kinda-hug, and then returning the kiss just as softly. He couldn't tell Alex the whole truth, but, with how things were now...what happened that night, with Rosa. He'd barely seen Max since then, and Isobel kept looking at him like she was scared what he'd do next--not of him, but whether his powers were all out of control again, and everything was...wrong.

Except this. He kissed Alex again, a little harder, before murmuring against his lips, "Me too."

He rested his forehead against Alex's, breathing him in, and reminded himself how lucky he was to have Alex, how this was worth fighting for, even if he was sure he didn't deserve it anymore.
